From requirements and design through test, installation, cybersecurity accreditation, and sustainment, your work will make mission data understandable, auditable, and field-ready.

MEANINGFUL WORK AND PERSONAL IMPACT
  • Plan, author, edit, and publish CDRL deliverables (DD-1423) including user/O&M manuals, admin guides, installation and integration guides (BESEP/IDP inputs), test plans/reports, SOVT procedures, release notes, white papers, and decision briefs.
  • Develop/maintain style guides and templates; enforce consistency, traceability, and configuration control across program artifacts (versions, baselines, and change histories).
  • Translate engineering inputs (ICD/SRS/SEP/EIP, DoDAF views, drawings, BoMs, rack elevations, cabling) into clear, Navy-compliant documentation and illustrations.
  • Support Risk Management Framework (RMF) packages: format/curate SSP, SAP/SAR, POA&M, CONMON artifacts; prepare eMASS-ready content and evidence indices.
  • Ensure correct markings and dissemination controls (CUI, distribution statements, classification per Security Classification Guides and DoDI 5200.48); perform OPSEC reviews.
  • Capture and publish IPT/WIPT minutes, action logs, and CCB/PTRB decisions; maintain CM status accounting linkages in CMPro/SharePoint.
  • Coordinate peer, technical, and quality reviews; drive redlines to closure with engineers, IA, test, install, and logistics teams; track CDRL deliveries to schedule.
  • Build visual content (process flows, data flows, network diagrams) and interactive help/IETM content as required; enable digital accessibility and searchability.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED (Required):

  • Position Availability: Position is pending final contract award.
  • US Citizenship Required

WHAT WE'D LOVE FOR YOU TO HAVE (Desired):

  • Familiarity with S1000D/IETM, MIL-STD/MIL-HDBK formatting, and DoDAF product sets.
  • Exposure to virtualization/network concepts (vSphere/ESXi, GPON, QoS) sufficient to interview SMEs and validate accuracy.
  • Experience preparing TRR/OTRR materials, CCRI audit evidence, and installation documentation for shipboard deployments.
  • Certifications: Shipley APMP (proposal writing), ITIL v4 Foundation, or Security+ (helpful for RMF artifact alignment).
