**Job Title: 2nd Shift Machine Operator** **Job Description** + As a 2nd Shift Machine Operator, you will be responsible for setting up and operating various manual and automated machines. + You will study blueprints, manuals, and dispatch specifications to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished workpieces, sequence of operations, and set-up requirements. + This role also involves performing pre-operational inspections and fully operating multiple machines as needed, including Conventional and CNC machines (lathe and mills). **Responsibilities** + Perform complex set-ups without assistance. + Operate machines on trial runs to verify accuracy of machine settings. + Select, align, and secure holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials on machines. + Run parts through processes such as automated welding, sheer & brake presses, automated and manual saws, swaging, polishing, draw bench, roto draw machines, vacuum furnaces, HON machines, straightening, flattening, and roll-flow machines. + Assemble parts and/or pieces adhering to blueprints or dispatch sheets. + Verify conformance of finished workpieces to specifications. + Place finished parts into boxes and send to inspection. + Package and stage finished parts. + Conduct troubleshooting with minimal or no assistance, identifying and resolving problems. **Essential Skills** + 3+ years of experience as a machine operator. + High School Diploma or GED. + Basic computer skills. + Ability to read and understand blueprints and program codes. + Capability to work within a team environment. + Ability to lift 50 lbs. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Experience with driving sit-down forklifts and operating cranes is a plus, but not required. **Additional Information:** + 2nd shift Machine Operators + 3:00pm-11:30pm + **Must be flexible to work OT, and some Saturdays if needed. + Pay Rate: $20-$21+/hr. **Why Work Here?** + Great tenure and long-term growth opportunities. + The company has completed an extensive modernization effort, creating a contemporary, eco-friendly, and environmentally compliant state-of-the-art industrial enterprise. **Work Environment** + This role is based in a large manufacturing environment with 25-27 machinists across three shifts. + The company designs and manufactures precision metallic tubular parts and assemblies for the commercial aircraft, aerospace, defense, and industrial sectors. The machine shop is non-union. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract position based out of Santa Fe Springs, California. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $21.00/hr.
