Cole Veterinary Clinic in Jacksonville Beach, FL is looking for two veterinary assistants to join our 18 person strong team. We are a privately owned practice located on 319 3rd St. S. We have recently expanded and have a new associate DVM starting in September and are looking to expand our assistant team as well. This is for a veterinary assistant position primarily working with the veterinarian in exam rooms. It is considered an entry level position though previous experience in the veterinary field is ideal. Our ideal candidate is motivated, a quick learner, and used to working in fast paced environments.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and administer necessary medication
• Prepare vaccines and obtain patient history
• Assist in managing or restraining patients as needed
• Maintain a safe and sterile work environment
• Client Education

Qualifications

• Experience working in a veterinary setting
• Ability to listen and communicate effectively
• Familiarity with equipment and procedure
• Ability to multi-task effectively
• Ability to lift 40lbs unassisted and up to 80 lbs assisted
• Ability to squat, kneel, bend, twist, and stand for long periods of time
