Job Description

Ghent Chevrolet Cadillac in Greeley, Colorado, seeks a driven and experienced Used Vehicle Manager to lead our pre-owned sales operations. This full-time management position offers a competitive compensation package with earning potential from $80,000 to $180,000 annually, commensurate with experience and performance, including a commission structure.   • Oversee all aspects of the used vehicle sales department, from acquisition and reconditioning to merchandising and sales.
  • Strategically grow and manage used vehicle inventory, ensuring a market-appropriate model mix.
  • Develop compelling online and in-person marketing strategies for used vehicles, including accurate descriptions, high-quality photos, and effective promotion.
  • Collaborate effectively with all departments to maximize efficiency and vehicle turnover.
  • Develop and implement sales strategies to consistently achieve and exceed sales targets and profitability goals.
  • Lead, motivate, and coach the sales team to achieve individual and team objectives.
  • Ensure adherence to company policies and procedures by all sales personnel.
  • Cultivate a positive and professional work environment within the sales department.
  • Analyze sales reports and performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement effective corrective actions.
  • Partner with service and parts departments to optimize overall dealership performance.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, vendors, and industry professionals.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, market fluctuations, and competitor activities to make data-driven decisions.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum of three years of experience in automotive sales, including at least two years in a management position.
  • Demonstrated success in achieving and surpassing sales targets, with a focus on increasing used vehicle sales and turn rate.
  • Exceptional leadership, team-building, and coaching skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Strong understanding of automotive sales and finance processes.
  • Proficiency with sales and customer relationship management (CRM) software including DealerTrack DMS.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed.
