Guaranteed Hours: Facility may call off 1 shift per 2-week pay period
RTO Restrictions: Must be submitted at time of profile
Locals Accepted: Yes (within 50-mile radius)

Job Description

Summary:
We are seeking a qualified Anesthesia Technician for a 13-week contract in a busy surgical setting. The tech will support anesthesia providers in multiple areas, including the main OR, Cath Lab, IR, GI, L&D, and Radiology. The ideal candidate has at least 1 year of experience, BLS certification, and strong skills in anesthesia machine support, patient positioning, and airway management.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and maintain anesthesia equipment and supplies for surgical procedures

• Assist anesthesia providers with airway management, IV/arterial line insertion, and intubation

• Transport and position patients in accordance with OR protocols

• Perform and document equipment safety checks, including troubleshooting anesthesia machines

• Maintain operating room safety standards, including infection control, electrical/fire safety, and sterilization

• Ensure accurate documentation of procedures and patient care activities

• Maintain and stock anesthesia carts, supplies, and emergency equipment

• Float to like units as needed: Cath Lab, Interventional Radiology, GI, L&D, and Radiology

Key Requirements:

• Minimum 1 year of recent anesthesia tech experience

• WA license required (if applicable by state law) must be active at time of submission

• Must be able to float between multiple procedural units

• No on-call required

• First-time travelers accepted

• Must work rotating weekends as needed

• RTO must be declared at time of submission

Qualifications

Education:
High School Diploma or GED required
Completion of an accredited Anesthesia Technician training program preferred

Experience:
At least 1 year of experience in a hospital or surgical setting required

License & Certifications:

• BLS Required (AHA)

• ET Tubes, IV & Arterial Line Catheters

• Transport Monitors

Safety & Documentation:

• Operating Room Safety (electrical, fire, infection)

• Isolation Precautions

• Radiation Safety

• Laser Safety

• Sterilization & Disinfection

• Documentation of Procedures
