Senior Warehouse Manager – Perishable Food Distribution

We’re hiring a Warehouse Operations Manager to lead a fast-paced, 90,000-square-foot food distribution center. This is not a maintenance-mode role—we’re looking for someone with energy, vision, and operational insight to help streamline processes, develop people, and drive performance .

What You’ll Be Doing

• Oversee daily warehouse operations, ensuring cold chain compliance and food safety across refrigerated and frozen zones
• Build, coach, and retain a strong warehouse team with a focus on training, safety, and performance
• Create and improve systems for inventory control, inbound/outbound logistics, and order fulfillment
• Lead warehouse design and layout optimization for improved space utilization and efficiency
• Implement Lean tools to address bottlenecks, cut waste, and improve turnaround times
• Monitor and maintain DOT compliance, oversee fleet upkeep, and assist with logistics procurement
• Collaborate with company leadership to set and track KPIs, labor metrics, and strategic objectives
• Partner with quality teams to uphold HACCP protocols and food safety regulations

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in business, sales management, or a related field (preferred) OR equivalent experience of 7+ years in sales leadership within the meat or perishable food distribution industry.
• Prior exposure to refrigerated and frozen distribution operations is required
• Track record of motivating warehouse teams, improving retention, and building a strong operational culture
• Comfortable using WMS, ERP, TMS, and Microsoft Office; experience with modern warehouse automation is a plus
• You bring solutions, not just reports—and you’re not afraid to roll up your sleeves
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage diverse teams and develop future leaders.
