The Packaging Team is a global, multidisciplinary team whose charter is to design market-defining premium packaging experiences that are innovative, excite consumers, and embody the premium nature of our award-winning mesh WiFi system. Our goal is to ensure full integration of brand, user interface and business strategy to create great packaging. This position will report directly into the Packaging Manager and be the creative lead for eero packaging. This role is for a hands-on professional who is willing to help evolve existing, define NPI, and think big about the next generation eero packaging.
We're seeking a creative leader who solves complex design challenges with refined, impactful solutions while upholding brand consistency and elevating our packaging design aesthetic. The ideal candidate brings both creative vision and business acumen, with a deep understanding of global markets and emerging trends in packaging technology, materials, and design. You have an exceptional eye for detail, are articulate, and embrace ambiguity. Your role encompasses both high-level creative direction and hands-on design, from initial concept development throughout the full product life cycle.

Key job responsibilities
- Lead design, concept development, and the execution of print production for all printed components.
- Ability to create 2D and 3D design materials, images, and messages for packaging reviews to help drive decisions.
- Enhance cross functional processes to help drive on-time decision making in an efficient way
- Distill complex information into accessible, engaging design deliverables.
- Ability to cut through ambiguity on complex topics and confidently articulate concepts and present work to senior leaders and executives, and other strategic partners via clear, compelling storytelling.
- Demonstrates eagerness to embrace innovative approaches while maintaining a strong commitment to personal growth and team development.
- Work collaboratively with a set of cross-functional partners and stakeholders
- Oversee production execution, ensuring quality control, color accuracy, and adherence to material specifications.
- Champion the consumer experience by shaping the full packaging journey—from striking shelf presence to a memorable unboxing moment.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- Must provide a creative portfolio that demonstrates wide-ranging concept exploration, innovative solutions, a clear process and is visually appealing
- 10+ years of creative design experience.
- Proficiency in Figma and Adobe Creative Suite, 3D modeling and visualization skills are a plus
- Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with experience working directly with executive teams and senior leadership in corporate environments
- Hands on experience with retail packaging, deep knowledge of user experience, and are able to iterate multiple concepts and creative solutions
- Comfortable balancing creative work and technical file preparation for print Excellent understanding of common paper based packaging materials and technical knowledge of print production process, including prepress and finishing techniques
- Familiarity with color management principles and working with overseas production factories
