Shah Trading Company is a leading food processing and distribution company dedicated to delivering high-quality products to customers across North America. We are looking for a Purchasing and Supply Chain Assistant to join our team and support procurement operations, vendor management, and supply chain efficiency.

Job Overview

As a Purchasing and Supply Chain Assistant , you will play a key role in managing inventory, processing purchase orders, tracking deliveries, and supporting supply chain performance. This position requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities

? Conduct weekly inventory assessments to ensure optimal stock levels.
? Generate and process purchase orders (POs) based on stock control requirements.
? Verify invoice accuracy by cross-checking order volumes and prices in the system.
? Track estimated time of arrival (ETA) for packaging materials and follow up with suppliers.
? Manage key supply chain performance indicators (KPIs), such as On-Time In-Full (OTIF) delivery.
? Monitor and assess vendor performance based on delivery timelines, product quality, and pricing metrics.
? Collaborate with Quality Assurance (QA) and Production teams for sample collection and production trials.
? Prepare reports and data analysis using Excel and Power BI (Power BI knowledge is a plus).
? Ensure compliance with supply chain processes, logistics, warehousing, and transportation regulations.

Qualifications

??" Education: Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Business Administration, or a related field.
??" Experience: Minimum 2+ years in supply chain, purchasing, packaging, or related industries.
??" Technical Skills:

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (Power BI knowledge is an asset).
• Familiarity with supply chain software/ERP systems .
• Knowledge of supply chain processes, logistics, warehousing, and transportation .

??" Soft Skills:

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to multi-task and manage priorities effectively.
