The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology seeks a quality, patient safety and compliance analyst. Working collaboratively with the Department and Medical Center Leadership to assess, develop and manage all quality improvement and patient safety initiatives. The incumbent will be responsible for receiving, reviewing, and managing all case reviews, incident reports and patient concerns. Together with the patient experience team, track patient satisfaction and work towards increasing provider scores where applicable. Incumbent will help track metrics related to quality, safety and compliance and ensure all clinical documentation is handled in a timely manner. Incumbent will manage meetings related to quality, safety and compliance with various teams and for various projects across the Enterprise.
The incumbent will be responsible for all credentialing and privileging efforts for the department. This includes management of initial and annual board certifications of all providers in the department. Along with the Vice Chair, manage the annual ongoing professional practice evaluation summaries.
The incumbent will work with department leadership on special projects on an as needed basis. Hybrid work schedule option available.

Responsibilities:

Uses skills as a seasoned, experienced professional with a full understanding of analytical practices, policies and procedures; researches, analyzes and develops solutions to a wide range of issues. Demonstrates good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions. Primarily deals with policies, programs and proposals which are complex in nature and diverse in scope. Develops new programs, policies or procedures for possible implementation.

Required:

  • Knowledge of common organization- or research-specific and other computer application programs.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to use discretion and maintain all confidentiality.
  • Analytical / problem-solving skills.
  • Strong skills in analyzing, researching and synthesizing large amounts of data for preparing sound and relevant proposals / analyses.
  • Ability to multi-task with demanding timeframes.
  • Strong policy analysis techniques.
