Job Overview

We are seeking a Powder Coating Associate who prepares and plugs all products to be hung for the purpose of Powder Coating as well as removing parts as specified in set up procedures. The Associate will play a vital role in maintaining operational efficiency and supporting the overall goals of the organization.

Duties

• Review work orders and set up procedures for all products to be hung on the powder line
• Determine that all plugging is proper, and parts are hung on proper racking.
• Make sure proper orientation of the parts is correct as specified in the setup procedures.
• Perform minor repairs. Move bad parts to MRB location in area.
• Responsible for using tag system to ensure MO integrity.
• Load and set up racking for orders to run.
• Visually inspect coated parts for appearance to maintain quality production level.
• Maintain 5S by keeping work area neat, clean and organized. Support and participate in Lean activities.
• Perform other duties as requested or required.

Experience

• Previous experience in powder coating/education in a related field, or previous job-related experience preferred.
• Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills are required.
• Basic working knowledge of operating computers and machinery.
• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 30-50lbs of materials and products.
• Job frequently requires standing, walking, bending, reaching, talking, hearing, lifting and carrying up to 30-50lbs.
