NOTE : This position is located in Kannapolis, NC, appx. 2 hours from UNC's main campus.
Position Title: Postdoctoral Scholar We are seeking a motivated and talented Postdoctoral Scholar with expertise in data analysis, computational modeling, and coding to join our team. The Postdoctoral Scholar will work as an integral member of the Rushing Lab at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill's Nutrition Research Institute to conduct multi-omics analyses to investigate cancer metabolism to advance precision oncology. The postdoctoral scholar will lead and collaborate on projects that leverage cutting-edge computational techniques to analyze complex datasets and develop models that advance our understanding of cancer metabolic pathways, disease progression, and treatment response. The successful candidate will have opportunities to publish high-impact research, mentor students, and contribute to grant proposals. This position offers an exciting chance to work at the intersection of biology and data science in a collaborative, innovative environment.Education and Experience:
- Experience in machine learning, network analysis, or statistical modeling.
- Familiarity with metabolomics or systems biology.
- Experience with cloud computing platforms and/or high-performance computing environments.
- A track record of peer-reviewed publications in computational biology or related fields.
