Job Description

We are seeking a Licensed Optician to play a crucial role in attracting and retaining patients by delivering an exceptional experience. This position is not just about sales; it's about creating strong relationships with patients and ensuring their needs are met, contributing to overall satisfaction for both patients and doctors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive sales and profitability by cultivating a retail selling culture through effective role-playing and retail techniques.
  • Build professional relationships with team members and doctors to enhance collaboration and service.
  • Fill ophthalmic eyeglass prescriptions and fit lenses and frames, ensuring they match patients' visual requirements.
  • Recommend specific lenses and coatings tailored to each patient's needs and assist in selecting the perfect frames.
  • Perform essential optical measurements and ensure a quality patient experience through accurate pricing and timely delivery updates.
  • Guide Managed Vision Care to ensure patients understand their options.
  • Maintain effective merchandising and presentation of the store according to established standards.
  • Complete additional tasks as assigned by the Store Manager.

Requirements:

  • Licensed Optician, Certified Optician, or relevant eye care experience is required.
  • Strong knowledge of optics and eye care.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent, or a minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a retail environment.
  • Proven ability to sell through strong sales skills and accountability for results.
  • A high level of enthusiasm and effective communication skills to exceed patient expectations.
  • Ability to foster positive relationships with associates and doctors in a results-oriented manner.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow up.
