Job Description

Femco’s Maintenance Manager oversees all aspects of a company's facilities and equipment, ensuring their proper functioning and safety while managing budgets and resources. They are responsible for developing and implementing maintenance strategies, supervising teams, and ensuring compliance with regulations.

Maintenance Manager's responsibilities:

1. Planning and Strategy:

  • Developing maintenance strategies: Creating comprehensive plans for preventative maintenance, repairs, and upgrades to maximize equipment lifespan and minimize downtime.
  • Budgeting and forecasting: Managing the maintenance budget, forecasting costs, and controlling spending to ensure efficient resource allocation.
  • Capital planning: Proposing and justifying capital expenditure for major equipment purchases or upgrades.
  • Workload management: Prioritizing and assigning maintenance tasks to ensure timely completion and optimal resource utilization.

2. Supervision and Management:

  • Team leadership: Supervising and developing maintenance staff, providing training and support.
  • Performance management: Evaluating team member performance, providing feedback, and implementing improvement plans.
  • Contract management: Negotiating and managing contracts with external vendors for equipment maintenance and repairs.

3. Operations and Maintenance:

  • Ensuring compliance: Adhering to all relevant safety regulations, building codes, and industry standards.
  • Troubleshooting and problem-solving: Identifying and resolving equipment malfunctions, implementing repairs, and preventing future issues.
