Job Description

Enterprise Horizon Consulting Group is seeking a motivated Junior Software Developer to play a critical role in a large software development effort for our gov’t customer. This position is contingent upon contract award. This is a great opportunity to gain hands-on experience and grow your skills while working on impactful projects in a collaborative team environment. Responsibilities may include:

• Software Development : Assist in writing, testing, and debugging code under the guidance of senior developers. 

• Learning & Growth : Continuously learn new technologies and development best practices while applying them to real-world projects. 

• Code Maintenance: Help maintain and update existing software applications to improve performance and reliability. 

• Team Collaboration : Work closely with developers, testers, designers, and project leads to contribute to software features and functionality. 

• Problem Solving : Participate in identifying and resolving bugs and technical issues as they arise. 

• Documentation : Assist in creating and updating technical documentation to support development and maintenance efforts. 

• Communication : Clearly communicate progress, questions, and issues with the team in both technical and non-technical terms. 

Location : This is a remote position with occasional travel to Philadelphia, PA.

Requirements

• Active DOD Secret Clearance is required.

• Associates degree required; Bachelors degree in related field preferred.

• IAT I certification (A+ CE, CCNA-Security, CND, Network+ CE, or SSCP) required.

• Minimum 2 years’ software development experience required.

• A foundational understanding of programming languages such as Python, Java, JavaScript, or similar. 

• Familiarity with basic software development principles, version control (e.g., Git), and debugging techniques. 

• Willingness to learn and take feedback from more experienced developers. 

• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. 

• Ability to work effectively in a team environment and follow project guidance.
