Duration: Approximately 6 months
Positions Available: 3-4
(Per Diem for those residing 50+ miles from the site)
Job Overview: We are seeking skilled Journeyman Electricians to join our team at Fort Novosel, AL. This is an excellent opportunity for dedicated professionals to advance their careers in the electrical field. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in the installation and maintenance of electrical systems, ensuring safety and functionality in various environments.
Key Responsibilities: - Install and maintain a variety of electrical systems and equipment, including control panels, overcurrent protection devices, circuit breakers, and conduit systems.
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and schematics to perform electrical installations accurately.
- Conduct trench work and run piping for electrical systems.
- Install and troubleshoot industrial controls infrastructure, including PLCs, MCCs, switchgear, and main electrical distribution systems.
- Diagnose and resolve issues related to electrical equipment and systems, documenting repairs and modifications as needed.
- Inspect and test electrical systems to ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations.
- Manage and mentor apprentice electricians, providing guidance and support in their development.
- Collaborate with architects, contractors, and clients to ensure project specifications are met.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all safety protocols.
Qualifications: - Journeyman Electrician Certification is REQUIRED. Certification does not have to be from Alabama, but must be valid.
- Must be able to clear a drug screen and background check.
- Ability to obtain a "base access card" through the Navy (clean background is necessary).
- US Citizenship is required
- Ability to lift, carry, and push a minimum of 50 pounds, unassisted
