Reid & Associates:  Interim CEO, Midwest USA

Duration: 6–12 months contract that will include temp housing and travel allowance

Location: Midwest U.S. | Critical Access Hospital

Reid & associates us working on a confidential search for an Interim CEO to lead a small, rural hospital in the Midwest through a period of transition. This is a boots-on-the-ground role for someone who knows how to steady the ship, rebuild trust, and get things moving in the right direction. 

What You’ll Focus On:

• Stabilize leadership and bring a clear, confident presence to the organization
• Reset expectations and accountability across departments
• Improve staff and physician morale—especially with contracted providers
• Identify and fix gaps in the revenue cycle and financial performance
• Help guide planning for an upcoming and prefunded expansion 

What We’re Looking For:

• A calm, confident leader with prior Interim CEO or COO experience—ideally in rural or CAH settings
• Someone who’s comfortable in politically sensitive environments and knows how to win trust quickly
• A great communicator who’s visible, hands-on, and good at building relationships across the board
• A proven mentor who’s helped develop internal leaders into executive roles
