  • Originate and review technical design documents, such as System Design Descriptions, Interface Control Documents, Engineering Design Specifications, and design change requests.
  • Support design reviews as plant system and subsystem designs are established and refined.

Key Qualifications and Skills:

  • Education: B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related STEM discipline is preferred. M.S. and Doctorate degrees may be credited for up to two and four years of experience, respectively.
  • Experience: A minimum of 8 years of demonstrated experience in the design of complex mechanical systems, structures, and equipment. Previous experience with nuclear technology, including fuel handling equipment and/or reactor internals design, is preferred.
  • Proficiency in 2D and/or 3D CAD software, preferably SolidWorks.
  • Familiarity with ASME BPVC Section III or Section VIII code is desired.
  • Excellent technical writing, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Experience with quality standards in design and procurement activities, such as ASME NQA-1 or ISO 9001, is preferred but not required.
