As a Quality Assurance Associate, you will play a key role in ensuring food safety, regulatory compliance, and product quality. Your responsibilities will include:
Key Responsibilities
+ Provide documentation to customers, including specification sheets and audit certificates.
+ Communicate with suppliers to obtain and verify required documentation.
+ Develop and maintain HACCP plans and prerequisite programs.
+ Verify labeling and ingredients of imported food products.
+ Investigate non-conformities and respond to customer complaints.
+ Conduct monthly internal audits to ensure compliance with quality standards.
+ Research relevant regulations and report fish imports to NOAA.
+ Apply for and renew necessary certificates and registrations.
+ Participate in company events and assist with inventory counts.
Required Skills & Qualifications
+ Education: Bachelor's degree in Food Science or a related field (preferred).
+ Technical Skills:
+ Strong understanding of HACCP, GMP, and food safety regulations.
+ Familiarity with FDA/USDA labeling and compliance standards.
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
+ Soft Skills:
+ Excellent written and verbal communication.
+ Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.
+ Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
+ Preferred:
+ Experience with internal audits and corrective action processes.
+ Knowledge of Japanese food products and ingredients.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $44720.00 - $56160.00/yr.
This is a direct hire placement, once hired you will be entitled to full benefits of the company
Workplace Type
This is a fully onsite position in El Monte,CA.
