Cambridge Health Alliance (CHA) is recruiting for the Chief of Pediatrics to oversee a well-established and talented pediatric department. CHA is an award-winning health system based in Cambridge, Somerville, and Boston’s metro-north communities, CHA provides innovative primary, specialty and emergency care to our diverse patient population through an established network of ambulatory clinics, an urgent care site and two full service hospitals.
The incoming Chief of Pediatrics will provide clinical, administrative and academic leadership while maintaining a substantial clinical Primary Care Pediatric or Adolescent practice. The Chief will have oversight of the staff delivering high quality pediatric primary care services and also oversee the educational programs for Harvard medical students and Pediatric residents on rotation from Massachusetts General Hospital. CHA is a teaching affiliate of Harvard Medical School and this position will have a clinical appointment at Massachusetts General Hospital. Candidate must qualify for faculty appointment at Harvard Medical School.
The ideal candidate will have at least 10 years of post residency experience, 5 years of leadership experience, and a successful track record of professional development and mentoring of junior staff within a Primary Care setting. Successful experience in interdisciplinary collaboration is necessary. Candidates must have excellent clinical and communication skills and possess a strong commitment to our underserved, multi-cultural patient population. Experience with developing and overseeing graduate and undergraduate medical education programs is strongly preferred. Previous employment in an academic, safety net system is a plus.
