Join our dynamic team as an Assistant Project Manager, where you will collaborate closely with the project and program teams to achieve program milestones. You will play a vital role in managing project data and tasks using MS Projects, ensuring effective documentation of all project data. This position offers a unique opportunity to grow into a junior Project Manager role.
Responsibilities
+ Partner with the project/program team to assist with program milestones.
+ Input data into MS Projects efficiently and accurately.
+ Manage project data and tasks in collaboration with the Project Management team.
+ Ensure all project documentation is effectively maintained.
+ Utilize MS Projects and Power BI for project management tasks.
+ Assist the Project Management department with documentation and project coordination.
Essential Skills
+ 1-2 years of relevant aerospace experience (other industries considered but aerospace is preferred).
+ Bachelor's degree in an Engineering discipline (Aerospace preferred, but open to Mechanical, Manufacturing, and others).
+ Proficiency in MS Projects.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Experience in aerospace engineering, avionics systems, and defense aerospace.
+ Knowledge of AS9100, cost management, budget management, and program management.
+ Familiarity with project coordination and engineering in the aerospace sector.
Work Environment
The work environment is a small, close-knit site with a family feel, backed by the financial resources of a larger organization. Located in a small business park alongside Maxar Technologies, the modest office includes an assembly and lab area. The company is a leading space avionics and sensor systems provider with a customer base in commercial, space, and defense markets. The team is dedicated to the success of missions, developing and testing video systems for satellites, rockets, and spacecraft. They have been pivotal in major space missions, including the Space Shuttle, International Space Station, and NASA's Artemis program.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Pasadena, California.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $32.00 - $38.00/hr.
