This Role Is Tailor-Made For You Because

The Design Operations Assistant, Handbags & SLGs will provide studio assistance for the Handbag & Small Leather Goods design team. The position requires a self-motivated professional with the ability to manage multiple projects at once in a fast-paced environment. The Design Operations Assistant is a critical support member for the design team who will handle research and ensuring data integrity for design is pristine from concept to SMS phase by utilizing our PLM system.

Operations

A Day in the Life:

  • Assist in coordinating and completing special assignments and projects as required; collaborate with various staff, including Design Management in creating boards, reports/decks as needed
  • Maintain and update line sheets, specs and CADS
  • Partner with Design Executive Assistant to maintain design department organization and neatness which include dismantling boards and workstations, workroom


Color

  • Assist in creating and maintaining design specification decks and charts for all details, including any specific seasonal requests
  • Assists Design Team and Management in miscellaneous tasks such as filing, organizing, scanning, and photocopying if and when needed
  • Participate in Design meetings as needed
  • Assist with seasonal lab dip submits
  • Match colors and ensure color consistency across products and projects
  • Collaborate with design and raw material teams to work on color approvals
  • Keep seasonal colors, palettes, and standards up to date in necessary workspaces


PLM

  • Create and Upload seasonal color palettes and standard information
  • Liaise with Merch team to cross-check SMS order, creating new styles when necessary and to pass CAD's for the line plans
  • Consult with Tech and Product Development teams for their deadline needs for the above


To Land This Role

  • Bachelor's Degree in Fashion Design, Product Development or related field
  • 1+ years of experiencein related field and/or strong internship experience
  • Proficient in Excel, Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign) is a plus
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Must be very flexible/adaptable, a fast learner, and can manage in a fast-paced/ever-changing environment

Compensation Range

The compensation range for this position is 24.00 USD - 34.00 USD. Our offer will be based on your relevant experience and work location.
