AI Researcher

ABOUT THE POSITION

Jeenie is seeking an innovative and passionate AI Researcher to join our growing AI Innovation Team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and is eager to help shape the future of our AI platform.

In this role, you will be responsible for researching and evaluating a wide range of AI models both open-source and proprietary, rapidly prototyping solutions, testing hypotheses, and validating new ideas. Experience in model and agentic development is essential, as you'll play a critical role in advancing and optimizing both internal tools and user-facing AI experiences.

As a core member of the AI Innovation Team, you’ll collaborate closely with stakeholders across the company to design and prototype cutting-edge AI solutions that align with Jeenie’s mission and fuel our growth.

ABOUT SUCCESS IN THE POSITION
Some of the main initiatives you’ll be part of:

• Playing an active and strategic role in researching, prototyping, and shaping core AI services

• Developing product requirements, and turning them into technical specifications 

• Developing training data requirements, and turning them into technical specifications 

• Help lead the charge for informing and implementing best practices around AI testing, implementation, and documentation

ABOUT YOU Here’s what we believe our best applicants bring with them into the role:

• Deep knowledge of LLMs, transformers, and diffusion models.

• Broad knowledge of other machine learning techniques used in natural language processing.

• Experience with open-source model evaluation (e.g., Hugging Face, OpenLLM, OpenChatKit).

• Ability to read academic papers and turn them into prototypes.

• Comfort with scaling from notebook experiments to small production tests.

• Experience implementing and maintaining model evaluation criteria and benchmarks.

• Solid understanding of model training data development and best practices.

• Knows what trade-offs matter in model selection (e.g., performance vs. cost vs. latency).

• Able to bridge the gap between academic insight and practical implementation.

• A passion for research driven work, experimentation, and rapid prototyping AI models and agents in a fast paced environment.
